Dale House, a converted guesthouse in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, has been bought by a pair of local post office operators.
The guesthouse was built as a hotel by the local railway company for holidaymakers to the Yorkshire Dales, which was becoming a popular destination towards the end of the Victorian era.
Commanding views up and down the upper Wharfe Valley, it has a central location in the historic ‘honeypot’ tourist village of Kettlewell, which is mentioned in the 1086 Domesday survey.
The property can sleep up to 24 guests across its nine bedrooms and has a lounge with open fire, a dining room and a kitchen. The guesthouse is popular for group events and celebrations.
The new owners, Nigel and Susan Taylor, run the post office in Gargrave, near Skipton.
