Scottish & Newcastle Pub Enterprises has appointed Rob Woodcock operational planning director, a newly created role in the division.
His brief will be to ensure the division is prepared for coping with changes in the business, including co-ordinating the assimilation of pub group acquisitions across the 1,200-strong estate of leased and franchised pubs.
Woodcook has been with Scottish & Newcastle for 10 years, and was previously operations and sales director with responsibility for 200 pubs across the Cumbria, Durham and Yorkshire region.
As operational planning director, Woodcock will be based at the division's central offices in Edinburgh.
Scottish & Newcastle Retail hit the news recently when it announced its portfolio of 1,450 managed pubs, restaurants and lodges were for sale. The company hopes to release cash to fund the expansion of its brewing business, but the move is not expected to have an effect on the Pub Enterprises division.
