Italy's top cookbook is out in English

Italy's most successful cookery book will be published in English for the first time this November.

Il Cucchiaio d'Argento (The Silver Spoon) has long been seen as a staple ingredient in Italian kitchens everywhere since it was first brought out in 1950.

It has sold more than two million copies and now features 2,000 recipes.

The new English edition of The Silver Spoon will be released on 7 November by visual art publisher Phaidon.
