RAMM, located close to the centre of Exeter, will re-open in December 2011 following the completion of a £20m, 3 year refurbishment and extension programme. Admission to the new museum is free, and more than 250,000 visitors a year are expected. In addition the museum intends to promote the venue for conferences and meetings, and requires a strong refreshment offer to complement the attractive site.
The appointed company will need to demonstrate that they can provide a high quality range of foods and beverages on a daily basis.
The lease, for up to 10 years to the right applicant, which will be awarded following competitive tender, will commence in December 2011. The appointed company will be required to make a capital contribution toward the café fit out.
