London restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King are to launch a new restaurant on top of the proposed the Bishopgate Tower development in the City of London.

The duo’s company, Rex Restaurants Associates, which owns London eateries Wolseley and St Alban, has agreed to take over a 13,000sq ft site on levels 58 to 63 of the 288m high tower which is also known as The Pinnacle.

Comprising a dining room and Champagne bar, the restaurant will be open to the general public as well as office tenants in the building and will offer 360 degree views of the City.

Set to be completed in 2012, Bishopgate Tower is being designed by international architects Kohn Pederson Fox Architects and will be the tallest building in London. It will have 63 floors and around one million sq ft of office space.

Corbin and King, who were joint winners of the Restaurateur of the Year Catey in 1993, are the former proprietors of iconic London celebrity haunts Le Caprice, The Ivy and J. Sheekey.

Davis Coffer Lyons advised Rex Restaurant Associates.
