Angela Kallinger of the Maybourne Hotel Group has been named Young Marketer of the Year in the 2009 Hotel Marketing Awards.

Kallinger was praised by the judges for her contribution to marketing from an ecommerce perspective.

“She took on a tough role and had a lot of responsibility delegated to her and was able to rise to the challenge with enthusiasm and style,” said Pamela Carvell, chairman of the Hotel Marketing Association, the organisers of the event.

Now in its fourth year, the Young Marketer of the Year award recognises the cream of young marketing talent in the hotel industry.  All candidates are aged under 30 and have to demonstrate that they have made a significant contribution to the success of their company.

Other winners in the annual awards, held at the Millennium Mayfair Hotel, London, included the Intercontinental Hotel Group for the Best Digital Marketing Activity and De Vere Hotels for the Best Marketing Activity on a Small Budget.
