The Ann Boleyn hotel in Staines, Middlesex, has been sold after 18 years under the same ownership.

The Grade II-listed hotel was snapped up by an unnamed private investor who paid a sum close to the £2.75m sought by the Epsom office of Christie + Co.

Located on the south side of Staines Bridge, the hotel is made up of three interlinked properties arranged over three floors.

Along with 43 en-suite bedrooms, the hotel has two ethnic restaurants – Jade, an 80-seat Chinese restaurant and Saffron, a 70-seat Indian.

The bar has seating for another 25 customers and the hotel’s function room can accommodate up to 25 guests.

Regular events in the hotel calendar include Probus Ladies & Gents clubs, and monthly jazz club and speed dating evenings.

“The Anne Boleyn has been run under the same management for the past 18 years and is becoming increasingly recognised for its restaurant and takeaway facilities,” said William Thomas from the Epsom office of Christie + Co.

"The business has focussed mainly on accommodation, targeting the budget business travellers who regularly visit the hotel, due to the rooms being to a high standard whilst at affordable prices for the area.”
