Jessop House, Tewkesbury

Friday 27 August 2004 10:14
Article ThumbnailThis week's star property is an upmarket, low-maintenance B&B operation in Gloucestershire.

Jessop House is located in a prominent high-street position in the picturesque town of Tewkesbury, opposite the 900-year-old Tewkesbury Abbey with its imposing tower.

This historic Grade II-listed Georgian building comprises eight en suite letting bedrooms, dining room, bar-lounge and an adjacent three-bedroom period owner's cottage.

The B&B business currently has a turnover of about £85,000 a year, which has potential to be improved, as the owners do not offer lunches or dinners and use the bar only occasionally.

Jessop House is on the market for £675,000, including the adjacent cottage, which alone is valued at £150,000.

Further information can be obtained from Stephen Johnston, of hotel and leisure agents Charter & Co, on 01803 835300 or e-mail charter.co@ukonline.co.uk.
