Regent Inns sells seven Walkabouts to Cavendish Bars

Embattled pub operator Regent Inns, which yesterday delisted from the London Stock Exchange, has sold seven Walkabout venues to Cavendish Bars group.

The deal, which brings Cavendish’s estate to 34, forms part of Regent Inns’ strategy of disposing of non-core sites as it looks to recover from an annual loss of £58.1m for the 12 months to last October.

Anthony Jenkins, associate director at property agent Christie & Co, which represented Regent Inns, confirmed that a number of further sites in the estate remain up for sale.

Cavendish, which is headed up by the former chief executive of bar chain Po Na Na, Christian Arden, was created last year after taking on 26 former Luminar sites. It was represented by Coffer Corporate Leisure.
