Iain Inman steps in at Launceston

Thursday 17 August 2006 00:00

London neighbourhood restaurant Launceston Place has appointed a new head chef to update its menu. Iain Inman, formerly of Bibendum, the Square and Chez Bruce, took up his new role earlier this summer.

Now on the menu at the Kensington restaurant is grilled Anjou pigeon with pea, broad bean and balsamic salsa, and gratin of rock oysters with Muscat sabayon. Inman, 27, said: "I can't change too much at Launceston Place but my main aim is to refine the food and try to bring it up a level, while keeping it in the same style."

Inman took over from Phillip Reed, who has moved to Chicago after eight years at Launceston Place.
