More contracts and a new face at Yes

Contract and hospitality caterer Yes Dining is expanding its operations following two new contract wins. The company landed a three-year deal to manage the Ladbrokes site in West London, which will be a seven-day operation for the 400 staff, with an annual turnover of £250,000. The contract was previously run by Sodexho.

Yes has also won a £150,000 three-year deal at Gridcom in Watford. Here the caterer will be using a caf‚ service for the 150 employees. The expansion has led to the appointment of another operations director, Graham Douglas, boosting its management team to two and its contracts to 16.

Selfridges appoints BaxterSmith

BaxterSmith has started its fourth trading year in healthy fashion, announcing a raft of new contracts worth in excess of £2m, including the staff restaurant at the new state-of-the-art Selfridges store in Birmingham's redeveloped Bullring.

Other deals include a tie-up with law firm Clyde & Co in Guildford and the new head office of Skanska in Rickmansworth. It has also landed a group contract with Global Home Loans in Dartford and Leeds, and extended its deal with UnumProvident in Bristol.

Eurest wins deal at Aston Martin site...

Aston Martin, the prestigious car manufacturer, has signed a deal with Eurest to provide staff catering at its new production site at Gaydon in the West Midlands.

The deal builds on an existing relationship between Eurest, part of the Compass Group, and Ford, which owns Aston Martin. The caterer will be managing a 350-seat staff restaurant for 1,000 employees. It will also offer other Compass brands, such as Ritazza and Trattoria Pizza, and a 24-hour vending service and a grab-and-go-style deli. The caterer will also provide visitor and corporate hospitality and a retail shop.

... and brings Welsh theme to assembly

Eurest is introducing a series of Welsh-themed menus at the National Assembly for Wales building in Cardiff. The recently won contract is likely to turn over £3.5m over five years. Eurest worked with Channel Four chef Dudley Newbery to develop the menus.
