The British Hospitality Association (BHA) has announced an AirMiles loyalty scheme for its 40,000 members.
The Eating Out & Entertainment Programme from the AirMiles Travel Company will be officially launched in early 2006, with participating restaurants offering customers the chance to collect AirMiles as they dine.
According to the BHA, the scheme will be easy for its members to implement. No additional point-of-sale equipment or staff retraining will be necessary.
A spokesman for the BHA said that it was too early to comment on the impending success of the AirMiles loyalty scheme.
"It will take a couple of months to assess the popularity of the scheme with our members, but it will help to bring in extra business to the restaurants involved," he said.
