Catermasters wins computer manufacturer contract
Independent caterer Catermasters has won a one-year rolling contract to provide catering services at computer peripheral manufacturer Belkin in Northampton. The deal, which will turn over £235,000 per year, was previously run by Catering Partnership.

BaxterStorey adds bank group to its books
Independent caterer BaxterStorey has won a five-year contract to provide catering services at bank group West LB in London EC3. The deal, which will turn over £1.1m per year, will see 25 BaxterStorey staff cater for up to 1,000 client staff. It was previously run by Sodexho fine dining division Directors Table.

... and wins Newcastle theatre deal
BaxterStorey also has won a three-year contract to provide catering services at Newcastle theatre. The deal, which will turn over £1m per year, will see 30 BaxterStorey staff on site. It was previously run by Elior leisure division Digby Trout.

Compass wins Education Awards
Compass Group won the Education Award at the 2006 Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards last week. The awards celebrate exceptional examples of community work undertaken by London businesses and Compass was rewarded for the work of its Junior Chefs’ Academy. The Lord Mayor David Brewer said: “Compass Group’s Junior Chefs’ Academy has provided many, previously unmotivated young people with a new exciting skill and, in some cases, offered a new career direction.” Other winners included Deutsche Bank, KPMG and Brent-based journalist Tim Cole.
