Accor named as one of world's leading employers
French hotel group Accor is the only hospitality company to be included in the List of the 25 Best Companies to Work For in the World.
Believed to be the world's largest annual study of workplace excellence, the list is compiled by the Great Place to Work Institute in the USA.
Antoine Recher, global chief human resources officer of Accor, said the company's focus on the values of professionalism, recognition, diversity, communication and respect had helped it achieve its 19th place on the list.
"Hospitality is a profession which relies on customer contact and a passion for the industry," he said. "Therefore, it is essential for us to make sure our employees feel proud, trusted and enthused. It is our employees who are constantly in touch with our customers and are therefore, the leading drivers of our success internationally."
Nearly 5,700 multinational companies across 45 countries applied to be recognised as a leading employer on the list.
