Hotelympia organiser Fresh RM has changed its name to Fresh Montgomery to underline its new ownership structure.
The rebranding reflects its parent company Montgomery’s acquisition earlier this year of the 50% stake held in Fresh RM by joint venture partner Reed Exhibition.
Along with the new name, the show organiser has announced ambitious overseas expansion plans that include IFE Africa, a South African-based version of the successful IFE (International Food and Drink Event) show held at London’s ExCel centre.
RM Montgomery has also teamed up with Single Market Events to host two new shows for 2012.
Speciality Food & Drink Fair will be an Australian outpost of its Speciality & Fine Food Fair (which runs in London Olympia between 2 and 4 September next year) while Independent Hotel will be a central London-based show aimed at independent boutique hotels.
The group has enjoyed a successful 2011, increasing visitor numbers across all its shows and scooping seven award nominations and wins that include Exhibition News’ 'Green Award' and AEO’s 'Best Organiser Team of the Year'.
