Andrew Mosley has been promoted to director of operations at the De Vere Belfry hotel in Wishaw, Warwickshire. Mosley has worked for the group for three years and was previously general manager at the De Vere Swindon.
Whitbread has promoted Tim Hammond to managing director of TGI Friday's. Hammond, 44, moves from his role as corporate development director and will also lead the David Lloyd Leisure expansion into Spain.
Michael Hirst, chairman of the Business Tourism Partnership, has been appointed a director of the Tourism Alliance. He is one of 12 executives responsible for representing all areas of the tourism industry.
The Glenmoriston Town House hotel in Inverness has appointed Loic Lefebvre as its new head chef. Lefebvre previously worked as sous chef in the three-Michelin-starred Le Jardin des Sens in Montpellier, France.
Oriel Leisure, owner and operator of eight Express by Holiday Inn hotels, has promoted Alice Ng to general manager of the Express by Holiday Inn Newcastle Metro Centre hotel. Stepping into her previous role, Keith Stewart has become general manager designate at the hotel. He had previously been working in various capacities at the property.
City Inn has appointed Peter Lloyd as the executive chef of City Café Westminster in London. Lloyd, who previously worked as head chef at Bank bar and restaurant in Aldwych, will lead a team of 26.
Greg Ward has joined Von Essen Hotels as its first executive director of sales and marketing. He joins the group from Mandarin Oriental, where he was director of sales for three years.
Howard Ruzgar has been named the new executive head chef at the Holiday Inn on Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh. His appointment coincides with the launch of a new menu at the hotel's Traders restaurant. Ruzgar was previously executive chef at Commodore Hotels, where he was twice voted Chef of the Year.
Tony Wicking has joined Missing Ingredients as operations director. He moves from Charlton House, where he was senior operations manager.
British brasserie group Brazz has appointed David Coubrough as a non-executive director. The move follows the company's recently announced expansion into Wales and the launch of its Champagne bar concept.

Sophie Lesnoff is the new general manager of Firmdale Hotels' Charlotte Street hotel in the West End of London. Lesnoff, who replaces Carrie Wick, helped Edinburgh's Glasshouse hotel achieve superstar status last November when it welcomed celebrities attending the MTV music awards in the city.
