Crown group nets £8m deal
The Crown Group has announced two contract wins with total sales of nearly £8m. Crown Venue Catering has picked up a four-year, £5.5m total-turnover deal as the sole caterer at conference, sport and concert venue the Brighton Centre. Chelsea Catering has won a three-year, £2.4m total turnover contract at Arundel House, the headquarters of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London. The institute briefs government, business and media professionals.

Eurostar keeps up Momentum
EuroStar has renewed its catering contract with Momentum (a joint venture between Cremonini of Italy and Compass Group), which it has held since 2000. The two-year extension will turn over £26.7m a year and runs until May 2007. Momentum has more than 700 staff at bases in London, Paris and Brussels catering for seven million EuroStar customers a year.

Capital projects for Bartlett Mitchell
Bartlett Mitchell has won two more London contracts, both for two years, bringing its tally of new wins this year to seven. The first is for 650 staff at EMC2, an information management company in Brentford, which has an annual turnover of £400,000. The second contract, turning over £350,000 a year, is for catering and hospitality services for up to 500 people for trade union Unison in Euston Road.

Million-pound deal for Eurest
Compass Group division Eurest has won a three-year contract with annual turnover of £333,000 to provide a full catering and hospitality service to collagen manufacturer Devro (Scotland). It involves providing breakfast, lunch and dinner to 500 staff at the group's two Lanarkshire sites.

Charlton House still flying high
Charlton House has retained its contract with the Civil Aviation Authority for a further five years. The new contract, which starts on 1 July, will turn over £500,000 a year and involves catering for 1,100 staff across two sites at Gatwick Airport and in London. Charlton House also retained its £225,000-turnover deal at Chiltern College, a training college in Caversham, near Reading, Berkshire.
