Michelin set to take on America

Monday 28 June 2004 15:22
Europe's most highly regarded food guide, Michelin, has confirmed that it is considering taking its Red book to the USA.

A spokeswoman for the company said that research into a move across the Atlantic, as well as to other international destinations, was under way.

"We are studying ways of taking the Red Guide abroad, but no decisions have yet been made," she said.

Michelin already publishes several Green Guides for the USA including issues covering New York, San Francisco and New England, providing tourist information on visitor attractions, walks and some restaurants.
