Blackpool's Old Coach House sells for about £565,000
The Old Coach House hotel in Blackpool, Lancashire, has been sold after 20 years in the hands of Mark and Claire Smith, who plan to open a new boutique hotel in the area. The new owners are first-time hoteliers Bafanti and Rajwinber Lally, who paid close to £565,000 for the property. The 11-bedroom hotel has a 32-seat restaurant with a 15-seat conservatory, two-bedroom owner's accommodation, and a hot spring spa and Jacuzzi. The agent was Christie & Co.
International hotel manager buys guesthouse
Graham Stobbart and his airline pilot wife Lisa are the new owners of the Orchard guesthouse in Rothbury, Northumberland. The Grade II-listed Georgian property has six bedrooms, a 15-seat residents' breakfast and dining room, a large residents' lounge and one-bedroom owner's flat. Graham has managed hotels overseas for the past 17 years. The guesthouse was sold for close to £450,000. Colliers Robert Barry was the agent.
Taunton's Sally Edwards Café changes hands
The leasehold of the Sally Edwards caf‚ in Taunton, Somerset, has been bought by first-time restaurateur Martin Osedo from Cowfold in East Sussex. The 36-seat restaurant, which occupies the ground floor in a three-storey Victorian building, was sold for close to £79,950. The agent was Christie & Co.

The eight-bedroom Ratcliffe guesthouse in Paignton, Devon, has been sold for close to £285,000. Matthew Beard and Nina Warren from Bristol have bought the property. It has a residents' lounge, a 13-seat dining room and two-bedroom owner's accommodation. The property was sold through Distinctive Business Agents.
Suffolk fish restaurant sold for close to £210,000
The Hy family from the North-east have bought Wheeler's restaurant in Lowestoft, Suffolk, for close to the asking price of £210,000. The 40-seat fish restaurant has an annual turnover of more than £50,000, and includes three-bedroom owner's accommodation on the first and second floors. The agent was Christie & Co.
Snowdonia guesthouse goes to Buckinghamshire couple
Steve and Carol Crane from Leckhampstead in Buckinghamshire have moved into the hotel sector with the purchase of the four-bedroom Glyntwrog House guesthouse in Betws-Y-Coed, Conwy. The award-winning guesthouse is within the Snowdonia National Park and has a 10-seat breakfast/dining room, a residents' lounge and three-bedroom owner's accommodation. It was sold for close to the £495,000 price sought by agent Christie & Co.
Bude's Atlantic hotel sells for more than £695,000
First-time hoteliers Trevor Rounding and Jackie Parker have moved from Gloucestershire to run the Atlantic House hotel in Bude, north Cornwall. Previous owners Nick and Jeannie Cole sold the hotel for more than the £695,000 asking price. The 16-bedroom hotel has a 28-seat dining room, a lounge, a bar and three-bedroom owner's accommodation. The agent was Colliers Robert Barry.
