Compass in driving seat at Ford UK
Compass Group has won the contract to run all the catering for the Ford Motor Company in the UK. Eurest, Compass's business & industry arm, will provide catering to the firm's 25,000 staff. Selecta, Compass's vending arm, will run vending operations across 19 sites. The new contract is for five years, but Compass declined to give a turnover figure. The contract was previously split between Compass and Avenance. It had a combined turnover of some £15m when let in 1999 but is understood to have altered substantially since then.
Rotherham win for Catering Partnership
Catering Partnership has won the contract to cater for 400 staff at electronic components firm Kostal in Rotherham, south Yorkshire. The four-year contract, which will turn over £150,000 a year, was previously run by Eurest.
Charlton House clinches three new deals
Charlton House has gained three new contracts with a combined turnover of £1.7m. The caterer has been contracted by facilities management firm Operon to provide catering and hospitality services for 1,400 staff at the Department for Transport in London. The five-year contract, with potential to extend to nine years, starts on 1 July. In a separate deal Charlton House has won a three-year staff catering contract with the Transport Research Laboratory at Crowthorne in Berkshire. It has also gained the staff catering contract with TML Financial Solutions in Whiteley, Hampshire.
