Schöller scoops top spot at BFFF awards

Schöller’s Mövenpick Cognac VSOP Ice Cream was named Catering Product of the Year at the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) awards gala dinner held at the London Hilton Hotel last week.

The product is a smooth ice cream infused with the fruity and floral notes of the fine VSOP Cognac and Cognac-marinated Granny Smith apple pieces and judges from the Craft Guild of Chefs praised its flavour, colour, texture and smoothness, adding that it was ideal for Christmas menus.

The ice cream, which also picked up the gold award for Best New Dessert/Ice Cream/Confectionery Product, was one of seven category winners in the running for the title.

Brakes scooped the highest tally of awards overall with three gold, three silver and one bronze, including a clean sweep in the Best New Bakery/Pastries Product category, although credit for the Brakes Brie & Cranberry Parcel’s gold in the Best New Starter/Buffet/Appetiser Product category went to manufacturers Millifoods who also picked up another gold and a silver award.
