Business at Fuller, Smith & Turner's London pubs continues to be tough and is not expected to get any better.
At its annual general meeting today the pub company and brewer said that although good early summer weather had boosted sales in its managed and tenanted pubs division, trading conditions in the City continued to be difficult and no improvement in business was expected in the immediate future.
Trading at the company’s hotel operations also remained difficult and shows no sign of recovery.
Fuller's said “continuing uncertainty” in the sector made it difficult to predict future trading, but the company still believes it is well placed to increase profits once the economy improves.
Overall, financial results for the full-year are expected to be in line with expectations.
Fuller, Smith & Turner publishes its results in May.
