It was a case of the chef versus the fisherman when Andrew Pern and fish supplier Alan Hodgson indulged in a bit of arm wrestling after a lunch to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pern's multiple Catey-winning Star Inn at Harome, North Yorkshire. The arm wrestling competition extended to other lunch guests, including Steven Doherty of Lakeland and Jeremy Rata of the Devonshire Arms, but Hodgson beat off all contenders. Collective betting on the result raised more than £400 for charity.
