The De Vere Group has made three appointments to its group board, as well as creating a new executive board, following the departure of former chief executive Richard Balfour-Lynn and chief financial officer Jag Singh.

Gareth Caldecott, Bruce Cave and Colin Rutherford join the group board as group finance director, group development director and non-executive director. They join chairman and chief executive Andrew Coppel and non-executive director Nicholas Bull.

Meanwhile, the executive board, which is responsible for implementing group strategy, comprises:

Andrew Coppel (chairman and chief executive)
Gareth Caldecott (group finance director)
Bruce Cave (group development director)
Tony Dangerfield (chief executive, De Vere Venues)
Gary Davis (chief executive, De Vere Village)
Kellie Rixon (group brand development director)
Sunita Kaushal (group general counsel and company secretary)

Following her promotion, Kellie Rixon will also retain her position as managing director of the De Vere Academy, as well as overall responsibility for the group's CSR initiatives.

Separately, Adrian Osinski has been appointed as chief operating officer of De Vere Hotels and Andrew O'Brien as group property director. Gill Jackson has been promoted to sales director at De Vere Hotels. All three appointments are also internal promotions to newly created posts.

Andrew Coppel commented: "Our prime asset is our people and the promotions of Kellie, Adrian, Andrew and Gill to their new positions are much deserved. We are in the great position of being able to promote outstanding talent from within our strong set of businesses to build a better De Vere and grow value."
