D&D London's Meza to launch Indian dining concept

D&D London's Meza restaurant and bar in Soho is to launch a new Indian dining concept next month.

Carom, which will open on 1 November, follows on from Meza's popular pop-up restaurants earlier this year featuring Michelin-starred Indian chef Atul Kochhar of Benares and Anna Hansen from the Modern Pantry.

Carom, named after the Indian spice, will offer a menu designed for sharing. Priced from £3 to £10, dishes will come in various sizes including chilli-fried squid Mirch Makeli with coriander dip; Goan spiced beef with pepper and coconut; and Kerala sea bass with curry leaf, mango, coconut and ginger sauce.

The restaurant will also offer a range of Indian wines and whiskies as well as an extensive cocktail list.

D&D London today reported a 5% increase in turnover for the 12 months to 31 March to £73.7m, compared with £70.4m last year, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by more than a quarter (27%) from £6.6m to £8.3m.
