Antony Worrall-Thompson to buy Aylesbury's Chequers Inn

TV chef Antony Worrall-Thompson is looking to buy the Chequers Inn pub and restaurant near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, Caterer has learnt.

According to sources, Worrall-Thompson is in talks with the owners of the property in the village of Weston Turville, which will become his third pub if the deal goes ahead.

The pub, which has a price tag of £195,000, is being marketed by Fleurets as a leasehold property and turned over £610,000 last year. In addition to a bar it has a 24-seat restaurant and 30-seat function room.

A spokesman for Worrall-Thompson said: "Antony is in Spain at the moment but there will potentially be some news after he gets back next week."
