New Park Inn from Rezidor for ExCeL London

The Rezidor Hotel Group is to open a 223-bedroom Park Inn at the ExCeL London exhibition centre in 2013.

Located 200 metres west of ExCeL's main entrance, the 20-storey Park Inn ExCeL will overlook the River Thames and will include a restaurant, bar, four meeting rooms and fitness room.

President and chief executive of Rezidor, Kurt Ritter (pictured), said he was delighted about the new flagship hotel: "This property will further strengthen the presence and brand awareness of our young and dynamic mid-market brand Park Inn in the UK," he commented.

The Park Inn ExCeL will be constructed by Galliford Try. Rezidor's contractual partner is Jade Investments Worldwide, which is owned by ExCeL co-founder James Dawes and by Steeltower.

Park Inn, Rezidor's mid-market brand, has a portfolio of 25 hotels and 4,195 rooms in the UK. This includes the recently opened Park Inn Aberdeen and the Park Inn Palace, Southend, as well as recently renovated Park Inn hotels in Bedford and Thurrock.
