AiP wins £750k deal at Wolverhampton Girls High School

Alliance in Partnership (AiP) has continued its flying start to 2011 with another new contract win, this time at Wolverhapmton Girls High School.

The three-year deal, with an option to extend for a further two years, is worth around £750,000. AiP saw off stiff competition, including Avenance, Olive Catering, Harrison Catering Services and incumbent operator Chartwells, to win the contract which will commence in April.

The all-girls school in Wolverhampton educates around 750 pupils aged 11-18 years and it is celebrating its centenary year.

David Weller, AiP managing director, said: "This is a fabulous contract to win because the school has the same aspirations and focus as we do.

"They believe in support and teamwork and at AiP we see our working relationships with schools as partnerships where we share and grow together."

AiP will launch the service with a new menu offer at both the break and lunch service, along with a new breakfast offer introducing a quality hot beverage solution. The caterer will also work closely with the head girl and student council to further develop the service as well as introduce seasonal produce.

AiP has this year won four new contracts and retained £1.7m of business.
