School of choc
Callebaut is opening a new Chocolate Academy in Banbury, Oxfordshire, in September. The new academy joins those in Belgium, France, Poland, Switzerland, Singapore and Canada and will double as a teaching and training centre for professionals to improve their skills with chocolate and develop new products. Ingredients company Macphie has acquired the Soup Opera brand with a view to expanding its soup offering within the food service sector. The company has taken over production of the existing range of chilled and frozen soups and has a team of development chefs working on new recipes and flavour combinations.
