Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2007

Thursday 18 May 2006 11:18

After the success of Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2006, Caterer and Hotelkeeper is delighted to launch the Best Places to Work in Hospitality Awards 2007, this year run in association with The People Tree.

February 2006 saw Caterer and Hotelkeeper’s inaugural awards ceremony for the Best Places to Work in Hospitality effectively highlight and reward employment best practice in the UK’s hospitality industry. Building employer reputation and the status as an employer of choice is becoming ever more critical. The hospitality professional is now placing as much importance on issues such as work life balance, career development, and training as they do on a good salary. So they want to identify potentially attractive employers early on in the recruitment process. From the employers point of view there is an eagerness to attract better qualified candidates and to retain them for a longer period.

For those businesses and organisations already demonstrating human resources best practice, our awards offer a chance to prove they are employers of choice. For those that could do with improving their employment practices, they showcase employment paragons to learn from. And for jobseekers, they offer a means of benchmarking prospective employers against the best in the country.

Endorsed by The Best Practise Forum, Caterer and Hotelkeeper’s Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2007 is a fantastic way to become a hospitality employer of choice, so please don’t miss this opportunity. "We are very happy to be a part of the Caterer Group’s campaign to improve the training and retention of staff in hospitality businesses," said David Battersby, of the Best Practice Forum executive board. "The Best Places To Work In Hospitality awards are a great example of a way in which companies can show their commitment to making the UK hospitality industry a more attractive place to work."

In addition, The Best Practise Forum has offered everybody who enters an optional, complimentary, confidential, Excellence Through People benchmarking report to compare their employment practices with best practice in the hospitality industry.
