Malmaison owner Marylebone Warwick Balfour (MWB) has declined to comment on press speculation that it has put its five-star Marriott West India Quay hotel up for auction for more than £110m.
The group opened the 301-bedroom hotel opposite Canary Wharf in London in June 2004.
Marriott West India Quay was exonerated early this week from the Spurs “food poisoning” scandal.
The hotel had hit the headlines early this month after Tottenham Hotspur football club’s players dined at the hotel and blamed a bout of illness on a lasagne consumed there.
Last week, MWB sold its five-star 157-bedroom London Marriott Hotel Park Lane hotel to a Middle Eastern investor for £105m.
