Peter Kromberg, executive chef at the Hotel Inter-Continental
London and chef at its Le Soufflé fine-dining restaurant, has won this year’s
Special Award from the Craft Guild of Chefs.
The 60-year-old chef, who will retire in September after
more than 35 years in the industry, was honoured last night at the Craft Guild
of Chefs 2001 Awards, held at London's Dorchester hotel.
The award was given for services to the industry.
Kromberg has run Le Soufflé for more than a quarter of a
century, having joined the Hotel Inter-Continental at its opening in 1975.
The awards are in their ninth year and are open to all chefs
working in the industry, regardless of Craft Guild membership.

restaurant.
