Wetherspoon puts five pubs up for sale
Pub company JD Wetherspoon has put five pubs up for sale.
The pubs, a mixture of freehold and leasehold, are all located in towns and cities in England and are available individually or collectively.
Three of the five are freeholds, They are:
â- The White Swan in Portsmouth (pictured), a large open-plan bar in the city centre, available at a £700,000 asking price
â- The Picturedrome in Liverpool, a former cinema and television centre, which has a guide price of £495,000
The two leasehold pubs - the Printworks in London's Farringdon Road and the Lodestar in Neston, Merseyside - are both currently closed and are available for nil premium on a free-of-tie lease.
Neil Morgan, director and head of pubs for Christie & Co, which is marketing the pubs, said: "We are delighted to bring these pubs to market on the company's behalf.
"The quality of the bars, together with the prime location they each enjoy, will undoubtedly result in a great deal of interest in a market where demand is more than keeping pace with the rate of pub disposals."
