Gordon Ramsay has played the bridesmaid yet again in another prestigious awards ceremony after losing out on a Time Out Eating & Drinking Award last night.

He lost the Best Gastro Pub award, where he was nominated for the Narrow - which opened in London's Limehouse in March, to the Rosendale in West Dulwich, south London, owned by Mark van der Goot.

Last week Ramsay's eponymous flagship restaurant lost its top place in Zagat's London Restaurants 2008 to south London eaterie Chez Bruce as the top location in the Capital for food.

In August he also lost the decade-long reign at the top of the Harden's London Restaurants 2008 guide, failing to pick up the top three accolades of "top gastronomic experience", "highest food rating", and "highest overall rating" for the first time in seven years.

The big winners in last night's Time Out awards were the National Dining Rooms, in the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, which won Best British Restaurant.

Wild Honey, beat Barrafina, Odette's, Olivomare and St Alban to take home the best new restaurant trophy, while Adam Byatt's Trinity in Clapham was voted best local restaurant.
