The Punch Pub Company is shedding a further 17 freehold pubs with a collective value of over £5m.
Punch has this summer put a total of 25 properties on the market which have been managed by the property agent King Sturge.
The latest batch of pubs are all located in the South West and include the Crown Inn in East Huntspill, the Market House at Weston Super Mare, the Red Jackets in Camborne and the Stoke Canon Inn near Exeter.
The properties are valued between £175,000 and £350,000 and are described as a mix of bottom end pubs which don’t fit into Punch’s core estate.
John Kinsey, partner in charge of the agent’s leisure department in the south west, said there is a “strong market” for the pubs.
“The summer has been a busy time at King Sturge and we have negotiated; on behalf of Punch Taverns; the sale of freeholds of 25 public houses,” he said.
