Sodexo wins £300m multi-site contract with Talisman Energy
Sodexo has won a new five-year, multi-site food and facilities management contract with Talisman Energy, with a combined value in excess of £300m.
The French-owned caterer and FM business will deliver the services at 11 offshore installations in the North Sea, as well as Talisman's Flotta terminal, Aberdeen office premises, and also the Gyda installation off the Norwegian coast.
The combined contracts were awarded following an extensive competitive tender process and results in the security of nearly 300 jobs.
Sodexo has been the incumbent on Talisman over the past eight years and has held the contract for more than 30 years at Flotta.
Geoff Holmes, senior vice-president, Talisman Energy UK (pictured on the right), said: "Sodexo] has committed to approach the new contract with the same enthusiasm that they have demonstrated in the past.
"In evaluating the tenders, what stood out for the team was Sodexo's shared commitment in creating the best place to work and in supporting a safety culture at Talisman with their flexibility, innovation and service improvements."
Lindsay Tocher, Sodexo's chief operating officer for global offshore and marine operations (pictured on the left), added: "In the last three years we have achieved 100% client retention, working closely with our existing clients to develop unique solutions to support the long-term sustainability of their business.
"This reflects well on the great job done by our people who always rise to the challenge of continuous improvement."
