TurboChef Tornado

ServEquip has launched its new TurboChef Tornado oven, which works with a patented combination of high-speed impinged hot air, dual microwaves and an infrared heating element. Heated air is forced on to the food at speeds of up to 60mph and the temperature-controllable infrared element heats food from underneath, resulting in browning products from the bottom.

The hot air passes through a catalytic converter, where excess grease and odours are combusted and removed, is reheated and returned to the top of the oven to be forced down into the cooking chamber again. While the air is recirculating, the microwave system injects food with precise bursts of energy.

The oven is UL Certified ventless, so it doesn't require exhaust or fire suppression equipment. It has 128 preprogrammed settings, measures 584mm (h) x 660mm (w) x 652mm (d) and weighs 86kg.
