Pub operator JD Wetherspoon has won three awards for the quality of its toilets in the national Loo of the Year competition 2003.
The judges chose the Society Rooms in Stalybridge, Cheshire, the Edward G Wylie in Glasgow, and the Ernest Willows in Cardiff as the national winners in England, Scotland and Wales respectively.
Richard Chisnell of the British Toilet Association, and the awards' organiser, said: "Wetherspoons has shown, once again, that it leads the way in providing the best pub toilets."
In the restaurant division, the winners were Bramhalls in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, Badgers Caf‚ in Llandudno, Conwy, and McKillens Fern Room in Ballymena, Co Antrim.
Hotel winners were the Angel and Royal hotel in Grantham, Lincolnshire, St Tudno hotel in Llandudno, and the Hilton Hotel, Templepatrick, Co Antrim.
