Fast-food giant McDonald’s Corporation has continued its comeback announcing global sales rose 5% during 2006.
The company enjoyed sparkling December trading with global sales up 7.2%.
In the USA sales rose 6.9% in December and 5.2% for the full year.
Europe was a star performer with sales during December up a whopping 8.2% and 5.8% for the full year.
McDonald’s chief executive Jim Skinner said: “McDonald’s performance for the year reflects our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.”
Earlier this Month McDonald’s announced it would become the first UK fast-food chain to serve ethically sourced coffee in a deal worth £50m.
