The Trianon Palace Versailles hotel, home to the Gordon Ramsay au Trianon restaurant, is to join Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria Collection.
The rebrand follows the recent multi-million pound renovation programme, and marks the Waldorf Astoria’s debut in France.
The 199-bedroom hotel is also home to Gordon Ramsay au Trianon, his first fine dining restaurant in France, which is complemented by a second Ramsay operated restaurant, La Veranda, a relaxed brasserie overlooking the outdoor terrace.
Simon Vincent, president of Hilton Hotels Europe, said: “The debut of this exciting new brand in one of the country’s finest locations underscores our strategy to integrate our successful Hilton Family of Hotels brands into key markets and locations throughout Europe.
“It is very fitting that this magnificent and unique hotel is reborn as a Waldorf Astoria Collection property, and as our first in France, continues to set the standard for luxury properties across the region.”
The Waldorf Astoria Collection Trianon Palace Versailles, is the second European hotel to join the Waldorf Astoria Collection and joins the former Rome Cavalieri Hilton, which was relaunched as part of the Waldorf Astoria Collection in 2007.
The company has also unveiled plans for its Israeli inauguration, with the opening of The Palace Jerusalem in 2010 and has also revealed it is set to launch The Bentley in London this year.
In addition to the Trianon Palace Versailles, the Waldorf Astoria Collection also operates six other properties - five in the United States.
