London Town, the AIM-listed pub company, today announced the resignation of development director Richard Gundry.
Gundry joined London Town as chief executive after last January’s £4.3m purchase of managed pub operator GRS Inns, where he was managing director.
He moved to the development director role last September following the appointment of Billy Buchanan in the combined roles as chief executive and chief financial officer.
A spokesman for the company said Gundry’s role was unlikely to be directly replaced due to the lack of development opportunities in the current market. He added that Gundry’s main role was always going to be bedding in GRS Inns to the London Town fold.
Gundry has more than 35 years' experience in the pub industry, including stints at Grand Met (Norwich Brewer), Whitbread and Pubmaster.
