The operators of St Pancras International - the new home of Eurostar services from November - have struck a deal with upmarket caterer Searcy to roll out four food and drink outlets at the station.

Searcy, which manages restaurants and bars in destinations such as The National Portrait Gallery, the Royal Opera House and the Barbican Centre, will roll out a champagne bar, a brasserie and bar and café and a private dining room.

Searcy is collaborating with the senior rail station management, architects and designers on the overall regeneration of the St Pancras site. The outlets will be designed to appeal to both rail users and the local business and residential communities.

Mike Luddy, project director at St Pancras International, said the bars and restaurants will help the station become “one of the key hospitality attractions in London”.

John Nugent, chief executive of Searcy, added: “This is a phenomenal opportunity to change the approach and expectations of how people use a transport terminal. Innovation will be the key element throughout each space.”
