Andrew Kolvin has been appointed executive head chef at the Macdonald Portal Hotel in Tarporley, Cheshire. His culinary career began in his late 20s after he gave up being a pub manager to work as a commis chef. Kolvin will oversee the food offer for the breakfast, lunch and dinner services, as well as all conference and banqueting.
