The chief executive of foodservice supplier 3663 Fred Barnes has become chairman of Hospitality Action.
The appointment to the hospitality industry’s benevolent organisation marks the decision by British Hospitality Association chief executive Bob Cotton to step down.
Cotton will continue to be involved with Hospitality Action as president and trustee.
Richard Ball, managing director of Calcot Manor, also joins the organisation’s board as trustee.
Penny Moore, chief executive of Hospitality Action, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Fred as chairman and also to thank Bob for all his hard work over the last three years.”
