Sam's Brasserie to expand into south London

West London eatery Sam’s Brasserie has revealed it is looking to expand into south London.

Co-owner Sam Harrison told Caterer he plans to open another neighbourhood restaurant similar to the Chiswick-based venue and is the process of scouting for locations.

“There is a market for good independent neighbourhood restaurants like Sam’s Brasserie and we are looking at launching another project in areas such as Balham or Clapham,” he said.

Sam’s Brasserie, which counts Rick Stein as one of its backers,  is a 100-cover all-day eatery which opened in August 2005. It won best local restaurant in last year’s Time Out Eating and Drinking Awards. 

Harrison, former general manager at Stein’s Seafood restaurant in Padstow in Cornwall, oversees the front-of-house while the kitchen is headed up by Rufus Wickham, formerly of Kensington Palace.
