Kudos beats Lindley to £12m deal at rugby stadium

Kudos has snaffled the catering contract at Franklin's Gardens stadium, home to rugby premiership club Northampton Saints.

The seven-year deal, worth about £12m, was previously held by Lindley. It will see Kudos deliver complete stadium hospitality and public catering services at the grounds, including food match day services in the club's corporate boxes, hospitality suites, retail outlets and bars.

Kudos will also look after all non-match day catering and venue management at the stadium, which is currently undergoing a multimillion-pound redevelopment due for completion in 2014.

Capacity at the venue will be increased from 13,591 to 15,446 and the stadium revamp will include a new lounge, bars, wedding facilities and new state of the art conference facilities.

Managing director Jon Pryce said Kudos was "thrilled to be partnering with one of the best names in the game".
Lindley CEO Adam Elliott said: "We were tendering for Spurs at the same time that Kudos was tendering for Northampton Saints.

"I put the best offer that I could do at that rugby ground, based on my knowledge of it. I think that there was a financially better offer put on the table and that was accepted."
