Next week will see the launch of Bob Bob Ricard (BBR), a new restaurant and bar in London’s Soho that will be open from 7am until 3am everyday.

Located on the site previously occupied by Circus, BBR will be spread over two floors with a 160-seat restaurant with private dining room on the ground floor and a 100-cover bar in the basement.

Interiors, designed by David Collins, are inspired by Edwardian architecture.

Front of house at BBR will be overseen by Jean Francois Valerio, who was previously the general manager at the Ivy, while the menu has been created by executive chef James Walker, former head chef of Le Pont de la Tour.

BBR will serve a breakfast menu including pastries, pancakes and egg dishes alongside a menu of classic British food including soups, salads, burgers and meat and seafood dishes, including caviar which will be served in 15g portions.

Walker told Caterersearch the restaurant will serve food from 7am to 3am with the 40-strong kitchen brigade being split into three overlapping shifts.

He added that the menu would be simple and unfussy with a focus on local, seasonal ingredients.

“There will be staples on the menu that will always be available but a big part of it will be focused on seasonal ingredients,” he said.

Foraging – why all the attention?

Using foraged ingredients is nothing new but the trend has become more mainstream over the past two years. However, the wider use of foraged food in restaurants also carries a certain amount of danger.
