Hospitality 2011: Alex Polizzi among speakers at free business seminars

Hospitality operators will be able to take advantage of a series of 11 free business seminars to help steer them through tough economic times, some hosted by well-known industry figures like Alex Polizzi, at Hospitality 2011.

The three-day show, which is expected to welcome a 12,000-strong audience, takes place at Birmingham NEC from 24 to 26 Janaury 2011.

Polizzi, star of Channel Five's Hotel Inspector, will discuss what makes a successful hotel and how to create one (12:00-12:45pm on 24 January), while Robbie Bargh, bar consultant and owner of Gorgeous Group, will offer his expertise on creating the perfect bar (12:00-12:45pm on 26 January).

Silvena Rowe, celebrity chef and executive chef for the Baltic Restaurant Group and Shamil Thakrar, co-founder of self-styled Bombay café Dishoom, will team up to discuss their industry success stories (2:00-2:45pm on 26 January).

Toby Wand, group event director at event organiser Fresh RM, said: "We are delighted to have secured such a strong line-up of people who have really made their mark in business and so will be able to provide professional input on a variety of issues for visitors.

"The seminars are dedicated to providing practical ways to improve and grow business with guidance from industry experts who will share their insight and experience on a variety of issues. This includes everything from running a successful hotel to growing a bar business and making bold, new business concepts work."
