
Estonian chef Andrei Lesment, former head chef of London restaurant Baltic, has opened his first solo venture in Marylebone, west London. Named after his local area in Estonia, Verru serves a menu inspired by Baltic and Scandinavian flavours.

Menu Baltic/Scandinavian - typical dishes include pan-fried red mullet, hop shoots, speck, forest mushrooms and beer; cocotte of autumn mushrooms, spatzle, lettuce and pea shoots; agnolotti of braised partridge, ceps, brown onion and sage; and elderflower cheesecake with poached rhubarb.
