Scolarest invests in Richmond schools
Scolarest, the education catering wing of Compass Group, is to invest more than £100,000 to upgrade school kitchens and dining rooms in the London Borough of Richmond. The move follows the council's decision to extend Scolarest's contract until December 2012.
Camelot renews Eurest contract for seven years
Eurest has retained its contract with National Lottery operator Camelot for a further seven years. Worth about £500,000 in annual sales, Eurest provides for 6,000 staff at Camelot's headquarters in Watford, Hertfordshire. Eurest has held the contract since 1994.
Leeming Pilkington starts at Metro Golf Centre
Leeming Pilkington has started a contract at the Metro Golf Centre in London. The five-year deal is expected to turn over more than £500,000 a year. As part of the contract, the caterer will finance refurbishment, build a conservatory bar and lounge area, and double the restaurant's capacity to 80 seats. Leeming Pilkington will employ nine staff, including two chefs.
Catering Alliance hits £30m sales for 2002
Catering Alliance's sales have broken the £30m mark. End-of-year results for January-December 2002 report net profit at £920,500 on turnover of £30.1m. The company has 185 contracts. Business and industry accounts for 80% of sales, although the company is looking to develop in the education sector.
RPMbags Ineos Chlor
Resource and Procurement Management (RPM), the service arm of the P&R Group, has been awarded a three-year contract to deliver catering services at Ineos Chlor, a chemical manufacturer based in Runcorn, Cheshire. RPM will provide catering, hospitality and vending services for 1,400 staff at Ineos. The contract, previously held by Eurest, will turn over £200,000 a year.
Holroyd Howe win
Holroyd Howe has been awarded the contract to run a new staff cafe« at Cambridge Antibody Technology's offices and laboratories in the city. Five catering staff will serve 280 potential customers a day. Annual turnover is estimated at £150,000.
